Pay terms of service

In creating and accessing an account on the O-Payment portal on www.o-payment.octranspo.com (the “Portal”), you warrant that you have read and expressly agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.

• 1. Privacy

You consent to the processing of your personal data to create an O-Payment customer account to download OC Transpo trip receipts and track your payment history. The Portal is managed by Scheidt & Bachmann Canada Inc. on behalf of the City of Ottawa Transit Services Department. Personal information is collected under the authority of Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, sections 8 and 10. Use of personal information shall be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes of administering your O-Payment account or as permitted or required by law. You can terminate your O-Payment account at any time by calling 613-560-5000. Any questions about the collection and use of your personal information may be directed to Customer Service:

The Internet may not be a secure medium and you use this Portal at your own risk. You agree to assume the risks associated with the transmission or loss of any data, including the interception of data or information by third parties. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Portal and for any activities or actions under your password.

• 3. Limitation of Liability

The City of Ottawa is not responsible in any manner for direct, indirect, special or consequential damages, however caused, arising out of your use of this Portal. The City of Ottawa assumes no responsibility for any damages sustained as a result of viruses or other destructive items that infect your computer equipment or other property in connection with your access to or use of this Portal or your downloading of any data, text, images, files or other materials from the Portal.

• 4. Jurisdiction and Updates to Terms of Service

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. These Terms of Service are subject to change. Any changes to the Terms of Service shall come into effect upon the City of Ottawa posting the updated version on the Portal.
